The Exploratorium is a 21st-century learning center, a unique interactive museum dedicated to the excitement of experimentation, the pleasure of discovery, and the power of play. Part museum, part laboratory, part studio, we make it possible for people to see the world around them in fresh new ways.

 

After more than 40 years of providing creative, thought-provoking exhibits and experiences that ignite curiosity and encourage exploration, the Exploratorium has reopened at Pier 15 on the city's vibrant waterfront. This landmark museum, on the front porch of San Francisco, will have three times more space overall than its previous home, and 150 brand-new exhibits amongst more than 600 that will be on view. The Exploratorium’s indoor and outdoor spaces are divided into six main galleries:
